    What about how the rotation axes were determined... How did the "Zero" of the A axis and C axis get established? It's clearly not the Grid origin.

      There is no need for axis zero points in this case. The axis directions is enough for calculating the axis rotations. This works as it it is if having support for RTCP in your machine. If not, you can set the distance to the pivot center in the post processor for axis transformations. If you like, you are also welcome to make a request to us for a custom dll that will handle the kinematics and simulation. With a custom dll, there is no limit and it can be customized to support any kind of machine.

    Is there someone I can talk to, that will help me with this? I'm trying to do a 4-axis simultaneous job for a model with some undercuts in it. I can't seem to get a good result, and I don't understand why

    Mybe it would be very helpfull if you also can explain the offset. As you can see very cleary in this video the offset of the trunnion is not correcty set; the ring still rotates around x-axis.

    I am trying the trial version.. Why does 5axis planar finishing using drive surface 'line' option sometime cause extra rapid lines? Is there a way to control rapid lines in a toolpath, perhaps turn all rapid lines off while in a cut? I want the toolbit to enter, cut and exit at the end. Instead, it enters, cuts, jumps away from surface few time at certain points, continues cutting and then exits at the end. I'm using 'line' option and not circular or conventional setting.

    Unfortunately these video tutorials have very low quality, is not possible to read important info (e.g. layers names), and is uncomfortable for the eye to watch, in general!

    i follow step by step - after I select the cutter 'Corner end - roughing) click enter The MC_Command Cutter_Corner_End_D12_R_1 never display above the Command ( So i never be able to continue) Why I did not see it (I can not copy the line to paste it on a notepad) --- What did i do wrong???

      @@madCAMcnc Awesome. IAM getting better. I just grabbed the models from Rhino 7 quick start tutorial try to mill with 3 axis it came out ok. But with your tutorial models I think I will be able to get good with Madcam with 4 & 5 axis toolpaths. Will send you request for tutorial models. Thanks 😊

    Gtreat video.. i have some issue any help please? i use rhinoceros 5/CAM and want to cut on surface not smooth just a little with angle like sphere but not fully ...how to say i dont know:-) example as (soap to wash hand) or like umbrella they have same shape like sphere surface as you know surface is not smooth a little bending...i dont know which axis in mach3 trajectory or name of axis is that in 2 1/2 axis or in 3 axis i tried some of them but nu luck:-) am as beginner if you know can you explain me step be step your help will greatly appreciate it...

    This has a lot of potential. It should be easy to create a toolbar with the most common operations performed with one mouse click. Every part we produce is different than the last, but there are similarities. By dividing the types of parts into "families", a script can then be produced for each of these "families" so that there is a one-button solution for everything. It doesn't get much easier than that!

    The madCAM command parameters are not appearing on the command line in my latest version of madCAM and Rhino5. I've been able to figure out how to script parameters for some of the commands but so far -MC_Box and -MC_Profiling are not scripting. Any comment Joakim? This is a very exciting and powerful feature and just the toolpath commands I've been able to script so far are saving me loads of time in my workflow! I hope scripting will continue to be supported for all madCAM commands :) Leo

    Thank you Joakim for this Video. At 8min the simulator shows the entire block and then the material removal with the tool. My simulator does not the same thing, is there some settings for that, or is it the next release?

    That is correct, the cutter tool is kept perpendicular to the drive surface. It is possible to use all of the standard 3D functions like roughing, planar finishing, z-level finishing and pencil tracing from a 3D drive surface in madCAM. The drive surface can either be a surface that is part of the model, or like in this example, a separate surface that is not part of the model.

    TI had hoped this would be true simultaneous with Y+A moves for accessing undercut areas and flat wall sections with the side of a tapered cutter without having to write loads of extra indexed XYZ paths after a seperate A movement.. .. do you intend to even make such an option available? I think it would be handy for those of use who are not ready to maker the jump to 5 axis. I use RhinoCam and it does not have this functionality either, which is why I am looking at your software..
